Herb of the Day: Hartstongue


( Scolopendrium vulgare )

Hartstongue is found in the woodlands of Britain, and also is a garden plant. The parts used is the herb. It is a; Diuretic, laxative and pectoral. It is especially recommended for removing obstructions from the liver and the spleen. It is proven for removing gravelly deposits in the bladder.

Method that is used is: Decoction of 2 oz. to 1 pt. of water. The dosage is a wineglassful as needed.
