Herbal Healing of the Day: Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a health problem which effects women, which is a mysterious problem. It occurs when uterine tissue migrates outside the uterus to the ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, bowels, or bladder. Sometimes this tissue even grows outside the pelvic region, and in the lungs. The proble is not where the tissue ends up, but what it does. It swells and bleeds monthy which is directed by homones that cause the same charges tn the normal uterine tissue. The most common symptoms of endometrious is abdominal pain, severe menstrual cramps, excessive bleeding, irregular periods, or painful intercourse. This is the reason it is hard to diagnose endometriosis. Women in their 20’s and 30’s usually learn they have endometriousis.

Endometriosis Tea

1 quart filtered water

1/2 tsp. red raspberry leaves

1 tsp. cramp bark

1/2 tsp. motherwort

1/2 tsp. horsetail

1 tsp. vitex berries

1 tsp. wild yam root

1 tsp. red clover blossoms

In a medium saucepan, combine the herbs and water, bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer for about 5 minutes, than cover and steep

for 15 minutes. Strain and discard the herbs. Drink 2 cups per day for 2 weeks for a single course of treatment.
