Food Recipe of the Day: Quick Fruitcake

This recipe is so easy if one has no time this season. You can also add rum, your kind of nut,or quick bread mix.

Quick Fruitcake

1 ( 15.6 ) oz. ) package cranberry or blueberry quick bread mix

1/2 c. chopped pecans

1/2 chopped dates

1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries

1/4 c. crushed pineapple, drained

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare quick bread mix according to its package. Stir in remaining ingredients, pour in a 9 x13 inch loaf  pan and bake for 60 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean.

Note to add rum, take a clean white cloth soaked in Rum and wrap bread in it.
