Black Forest Upside Down Cake

2 c. ( 1 can cherry pie filling )

1 2/3 c, unsifted al purpose flour

1 c. sugar

1/4 c. cocoa

1 tsp. baking soda

1 c. water

1/3 c. vegetable oil

1 tsp vinegar

1/2 tsp. vanilla

Spread cherry pie filling evenly in bottom of a ungreased  9 inch cake pan, set it aside. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda in a mixing bowl. Add water, oil vinegar and vanilla, stir until batter is smooth and well blended. Pour evenly onto cherries in the pan. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes or until cake is done. Immediately invert on serving plate. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream, if so desired.

This cake is easy to make.
