Chinese name for Queen of the Meadow is ( Lan-ts’ ao )
You can find Queen of the Meadow just about any where, yards, meadow’s. This herb has a long standing reputation as a remedy for lumbago and aching back due to strain and colds. A decoction is prepared from the root and used as a tea. A compound formula consisting of Queen of the Meadow and other herbs is said to bring prompt relief from the pains of gout and rheumatism. It may also be used for lumbago.
Here is the compound formula you can make.
Lan-ts’ ao ( Queen of the Meadow) 1/4 oz.
Wu-shih ( burdock ) 1/4 oz.
Shang-lu ( Poke berries ) 1/4 oz.
Chih-ma Flaxseed ) 1/4 oz.
The herb mixture is placed in a container, and 1 pint of boiling water is added. The container is covered, and brew is allowed to stand until cold. 1 cup of strained tea is taken hot 2 to 3 cups a day.
