Job’s tears is a herb that dates back to the days of Shen Nong, in China it is often used like pearl barley a nd made into cingees ( porridge ), as a household remedy for diarrhea and digestive upsets, and for excessive or difficult urination. The herb is taken to regulate water metabolism, so it helps to tonify spleen and combat diarrhea. It is used also for spasmodic pains and arthritis, and for clearing pus in abscesses. It is used with the herbs, Fu Ling and Bai Zhu for diarrhea that is associated with spleen deficiency.
