Herbal Remedies : Malaise

Malaise is when sometimes a person feels a bit under the weather, one must know for no apparent reason we just do not feel up to par. It may not have any specific symptoms at all, just not feeling well. This is called Malaise. When as a child I recall sitting with my Grandmother in her kitchen and feeling this way. She always got the good old tea kettle, you know the one that whistles and would brew up her Malaise tea remedy as she would call it. I would like to share it with you.

Malaise Tea

1 tsp. wild cherry root
1 tsp. wild cherry bark
1 tsp. red willow root
1 tsp. red willow bark
4 cups water

Combine all the herbs in a pan cover them with water. Bring to boil and boil for 30 minutes, coll and strain. Refrigerate. Take 1 or 2 Tbs. at a time as needed.
