Herbal Remedies: Tuberculosis Tea

Tuberculosis is a chronic recurrent infection that effects the lungs,but any organ may be effected. Tuberculosis is caused by a bacteria such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, M. africanum, or M. bovis. With the invention of antibiotics, tuberculosis was almost eliminated, but unfortunately because of the AIDS epidemic, TB incidence is on the increase. We must use caution with and disease that could arise, and be educated on helping our self with any source at hand to be able to take care of our self.

Tuberculosis Tea
1 tsp. elecampane root
1 tsp. sage leaves
1 tsp. goldenseal root
1 tsp.Solomon’s seal
1 tsp. horehound leaves
3 c. water
1 LB honey

Combine herbs together in a pan, cover with water, bring to a boil for 20 minutes. Strain. Combine the tea with honey and heat on low heat. Stir to dissolved the honey, remove the mixture from the heat. Let cool and pour into a glass container and seal. Take 2 Tbs. at a time when needed.
