Food Recipe of the Day: Dark Chocolate Cake

Dark Chocolate Cake

1 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 stick margarine
1 1/3 c. boiling water
1 1/3 c. all purpose flour
1 c. cake flour
1/2 c. sour cream
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Combine chocolate chips, butter, and water in a large mixer bowl. Stir with spoon until chocolate is melted and mixture is blended. Gradually add flour, sugar, sour cream, eggs,baking soda, salt and vanilla, beat at low speed of electric mixer until smooth. Pour batter into oan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool completely in pan Frost.

1/2 stick margarine
1 c. dark chocolate chips
1 1/2 . powdered sugar
1/4c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Place butter and chocolate chips in medium bowl, microwave at high for 1 minute until mixture is smooth when stirred. Gradually beat in powder sugar, milk, and vanilla, beat until smooth, until spreading consistency.
