Food Recipe of the Day: French Peas

French Peas

1 Tbs. oil
2 green onions, diced
1 small jar pearl onions
1 cup finely shredded lettuce
1 tsp. flour
3 Tbs. chicken broth
1 10 oz. bag frozen peas, steamed
1 can 5 oz. water chestnuts, drained
Fresh grounded pepper

In a saucepan, cook green onion, pearl onions, and lettuce in oil over low heat for 5 minutes. Combine flour with broth. Add to lettuce mixture and stir until thickened. Put in the peas, sliced water chestnuts and seasoning. Heat through and serve hot.
