( Plantago major or Plantago lanceolata )

This broad leafed plantain or the ribwort plantain are a common weeds of pathways and lawns. So we should always be alert of the plants we are trying to rid. Seek help on any so called, weed, as some call them, before we get rid of them.
Aids with insect bites, allergic rashes,infected eczema, cleaning wounds,drawing stings,splinters,soothes neuralgic pains,shingles rash,cream or ointment for bleeding piles, mouthwash for sore bleeding gums,irritable bowel, irritable bladder, running nose from allergies, irritation, colds. In past times plantain was reputed to cure mad dogs and snakebites.
