The aromatic oil from the evergreen cedar tree was one of the frict oils to be used in ancient medicine and ritual. It was used by the ancient Egyptians for their embalming,and also by the people in the Middle East since biblical times. It provides the Tibertan monks with incense burnt to aid meditation. The Cedarwood oil is extracted by steam distillation from the wood chips. It has a rich, woody, masculine scent that is warming, physically cleansing, and emotionally grounding.
Cedarwood is a pyramid shaped evergreen tree, that grows up to 130 ft. high, Its strongly aromatic wood contains a high percentage of essential oil.
Several varieties of cedar trees are used to produce oil that is sold as cedarwood. Some of this oil is very different from cedrus atlantica. Always make sure you buy atlas cedarwood oil.
Cedarwood blends well with neroli, jasmine,juniper, chamomile,geranium, lavender, frankincense, rosemary,ylang ylang, rosewood, vetiver.

The antiseptic, antiseborrheic, and mild astringent properties of cedarwood make it a popular choose for treating acne, oily skin eruptions, and dandruff, stimulate the circulation,relax,nervous system.
