Flower remedies are simple to make and very rewarding.The remedies are make two ways The Sun Method and the Boiling Method. I like The boiling Method so will star with it.
The Boiling Method:
The boiling method is mainly used for the flowers and trees. In any case more than just the flowers are picked,in addition it is necessary to collect twigs that have a few leaves on them.
Pick when flowers are at their best. Early spring:cherry plum,Spring:elm,aspen,. Late spring: beech,chestnut bud,hornbeam,larch,walnut,star of Bethlehem. Late Spring: holly,crab apple,willow. Early Summer: red chestnut,pine,mustard. Summer: honeysuckle,sweet chestnut, wild rose.
Make sure they are well cleaned,because cleanliness is vital to avoid, contamination.
Directions:
You will need a enamel,glass or stainless steel pan,avoid copper,,aluminum,and Teflon coated pans. A glass measuring jug. 2 Pt. of cold rain or mineral water. 3 fl.oz amber glass bottles,up to 6. 1 1/2 fl.oz. of brandy. Natural and unbleached filter paper,pen and labels.
Decide on the plants beforehand,prepare and clean the utensils. If boiling out side check your camping equipment.
Be sure you take from the field between 9 am and 11 am. on a sunny day.
Touch as little as possible. Pick twigs or flowers until you get the saucepan to 3/4 full,put the lid on and take to the heat source quickly.
Put pan on the heat,cover flowers and twigs with the cold water and bring to boil.
When it reaches boiling point ,simmer for a 1/2 hour. Use a twig from the tree,push the twigs under water. After a 1/2 hour remove pan from heat,put lid on and stand it outside to cool.
When cooled remove twigs,then carefully filter the water into the jug. Put 1 1/2 fl. oz. of flower water into the 3 fl. oz bottles with the brandy. Label with the name of :Flower essence mother tincture”

This is the mother tincture from which a stock bottle is made. It will keep for many years.Use it to make up personal remedies.
