Food Recipe of the Day: Pork Fried Rice


We use this recipe when we have left over pork roast. Serve it with egg rolls makes a complete meal.

Pork Fried Rice
ingredients:
2 Tbs. olive oil (or the oil to your taste)
1 cup chopped onion
1 green pepper chopped
1 cup celery chopped
1 egg ( slightly beaten)
2 cups chopped cooked pork
1 can ( 16 oz. ) bean sprouts,drained
2 green onions chopped
2 cups rice
1 packet of onion soup mix
2-3 Tbs. soy sauce

directions:
In wok or large skillet,heat oil on medium high heat. Add rice,pepper,celery,onion,cooked pork,,stir fry for about 5-10 minutes,or until lightly brown. careful not to burn. Add 4 cups water,onion soup mix,egg,bean sprouts,soy sauce. Stir well and cover for 15-20 minutes.
Serve immediately.
