How To of the Day: Homemade Sanitizer

A quick and easy way to sanitize your kitchen or bathroom is to take 1/4 cup rosemary and simmer it for 30 minutes in 2 cups of water. After it has simmered for 30 minutes, simply strain the decoction of Rosemary and put into an empty spray bottle (Formula 409 bottle for example) and use as you would any other sanitizer.

    • Hi Laura,
I don’t have a list of the germs that rosemary kills, but I do know that the oil in the plant have antibacterial properties and that it is also an antiseptic. My grandmother swore by it and used it to clean our home when I was a child.
