Food Recipe of the Day: Herbal Barbcue Sauce

Now that the weather is starting to be nicer, well it is where I am any way. I love to barbecue as often as possible. I hope that you all get some nice days that you can try this too.

Herbal Barbecue Sauce

1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons peanut oil
1/2 teaspoon ground kelp
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon sugar
1 garlic clove, crushed
2/3 teaspoon thyme
1 cup minced onion
2 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
5 teaspoons cold water

Mix all ingredients except mustard and water in a saucepan. Bring to a quick boil, then simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Dissolve the mustard in the cold water, then thin with some of the hot vinegar sauce. Mix the mustard into sauce. Let cool, and store in the refrigerator.
