Herb of the Day: Hydrangea


Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens)
Parts used: Leaves and root

Hydrangea has some of the best healing properties in nature. There are alkaloids that act similar to cortisone and has some of the same cleansing properties as chaparral. It has been used to prevent kidney stones and helps remove them in the event they are already formed. Hydrangea is also beneficial for relieving pain when said stones are ready to be evacuated through the ureters to the kidneys.
