There are many different products available today that tell you they produce energy safely. It seems that after they become available on the market, the FDA gets involved and bans them due to lack of safety. That’s why people like us prefer to use natural alternatives. My son makes this when he has been working too many hours and not getting enough sleep. He usually complains about the taste of herbs, but seems to like this tea enough to use it fairly regularly. He adds a tablespoonful of honey to it for flavor. (But drinks his coffee black.)
This is a tea that you don’t have to drink hot. You can make a quart and can put it in your thermos and use it on a hot summer day. Or keep it hot and put it in your thermos on a cold winter day.
1 quart water
1 Vitamin B-12 capsule
1 bee pollen capsule
1 capsule (or 1 tsp powder) brewer’s yeast
1 tsp cayenne powder
2 tbsp gotu kola
2 tbsp Siberian ginseng
1-2 tbsp honey (optional)
Make an infusion of the above ingredients the strain through a tea strainer. (See How to Make an Infusion in this blog). If you want it cold, allow to cool then add 1-2 cups of ice.
If you want it hot, put it directly into your thermos, then enjoy!
