This recipe is based on an expensive face pack offered by a famous salon- so treat yourself to an inexpensive visit to your home salon.
1 tsp beeswax
1 tbsp lanolin (do you think I like lanolin much?)
3 tbsp rosewater
1 tbsp fuller’s earth or substitute with ground oatmeal (health food store, or online)
1 tsp irish moss; or pounded quince or flax seed (health food store, herb store)
1. Melt the wax and lanolin together in a glass bowl that is setting inside a saucepan, stir it until well blended (put water in the saucepan and set the bowl inside the saucepan; poor man’s double boiler)
2. Remove from heat and add the rosewater; stir until cooled
3. Mix in the Fuller’s earth and irish moss and stir until until it becomes a smooth paste.
Apply evenly to your face and leave the mask on for 20 – 30 minutes and gently wash away with warm water. Pat dry your face, do not rub.
