How To: Make a Syrup

Syrups, which are great for children and people with sensitive palates, are often used for coughs, mucus congestion, bronchial catarrh and sore throats. It coats the area and keeps the herbs in direct contact.

2oz Selected Herb
1qt Water
2oz Honey and/or Glycerine

Gently boil water and selected herbs down to one pint. Add honey and/or glycerine while still warm.

Wild cherry bark and licorice and often used as flavors and for their therapeutic properties. Comfrey, Anise seed, Fennel Seed and irish Moss can also be used.
