For those of you who happen to have an older pet, you may have noticed that they are moving a little stiff, or seem to be in pain. Well, just like people, your pet might at some point feel the pain of arthritis or other rheumatoid conditions. This recipe will help them with the pain and swelling associated with arthritis and joint injuries.
Uses
Nutritive, anti-infalmmatory and diuretic- This will help your pet cope with the pain of arthritis and rheumatism while strengthening the liver and kidneys ti help wliminate waste materials and water from the joints.
Ingredients:
Alfalfa, yucca root, burdock, licorice and shepard’s purse
1/2 gallon water
In a large saucepan, place 1 tbsp of each herb and the water to make a tea. Once the tea has boiled for 5 minutes, turn off heat and let stand for 30 minutes. With a tea strainer, pour contents of tea into a sealable container.
How to use
With an eye dropper
Just before each feeding
Up to 12 drops for cats
Up to 12 drops for each 20 pounds for dogs
2-3 times per day; 5 days on, 2 days off for duration of therapy
Precautions
This recipe may cause water retention or upset stomach with long term use in some animals. Do not use with animals that have pre-existing blood clotting disorders, in pregnant animals, or if they have fluid retention problems
